Pedestrian Killed In Philadelphia Hit-Run

Police in Philadelphia are seeking the driver in a deadly hit-and-run accident late on Thursday, May 4, authorities said in a release.

It happened on the 2600 block of North Broad Street just after 10 p.m., city police wrote. A driver in a red Toyota SUV was headed south when they struck a pedestrian in the middle of the block, the department said. 

The driver fled the area, and first responders arrived within 10 minutes, according to the release. The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man who authorities have not named, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

Investigators have video footage of the accident, they added. The deadly crash remains under investigation by detectives.
